I was watching some of the Blood Omen 2 FMVs recently, and I ended up watching the one where Umah steals the Nexus stone from Kain in the mistaken belief that she can defeat the Sarafan Lord herself.

I always thought she was crazy for doing it - she had to know it wasn't going to end well (I mean, she couldn't even get past the guards...). Now, see, if I'd been in her shoes, this is how it would've gone:

Umah:
...I shall be the one to find and kill the Sarafan Lord, and Nosgoth shall belong to the vampires once again.

Kain:
You fool. You have not the smallest chance of surviving such a battle.
Now, give me the Nexus Stone, or I shall pry it from your thieving fingers as you convulse in death.

Umah:
Hey, no need for that, big guy. I was only messing! Here you go *big grin*

And then everything would've worked out just peachy :)

love! I just finished playing LoK Defiance and I love Kain's character, which is funny as I wasn't a huge fan of him in the beginning. Maybe that's because I never had the chance to play the Blood Omen games.

The reason she took the nexus stone was because she was concerned with what would happen if Kain did kill the Sarafan Lord(A.K.A Hylden) and recovered the Soul Reavor. And his answer was he would rule all of Nosgoth and said the resistance was free to do as they wish. The big question is how Kain's rule would differ from the Sarafan's.

I want to thank you for giving me some inspiration. I currently am working on a 3d render of Kain fighting Edward Cullen... Just to say that Kain is a real Vampire. I always thought Kain and Umah Should have hooked up
