~xXxAngelOfDeath asked me to make a pic of her Archangel - on his knees, in chains, in the Abyss. Hope this fits the bill!
(Bigger version available on download) So what's his story? According to ~xXxAngelOfDeath, he was once a great Archangel defender, protecting mortals from demons, devils and such. After some big and hard battle, he was given a choice: to come willingly to the Abyss (thereby saving mortal lives), or to refuse and allow all of them to die. I really liked the idea that his torment was entirely mental, and leaving his skin all smooth and untouched left him looking really pretty and sort of .... rock-star ish... This pic has changed a gazillion times since Wednesday evening, and looks nothing like it did even half an hour ago! I actually decorated the pillar behind him with scorched archangels, their wings reduced to bones, but the final picture looked really busy so I softened the background, and lost the toasted angels in the process I think I'm pleased with it, but I've been looking at it so long now I can't see it any more!
